(NAFL HQ) Sadness hit the NAFL this Off-Season as Jim Shaw passed away from a battle with cancer. Jim was a long-time owner in the NAFL and was the owner of the Samurais. The NAFL will not be the same without him. Jim was a man that loved life and loved being an owner in the NAFL. His Samurais will always be remembered as the all-time Toilet Bowl Champions. A team that could never win the big one, except the Toilet Bowl. Jim always had a flair for life especially on draft day. Every draft day had a special Jim Shaw event. Especially after a few brews. He will be missed.
Commissioner Kevin Shaw announced that the Samurais name will be retired. As for the team itself, co-owner Keith Shaw announced he will rejoin the NAFL and move the franchise forward with a new name and new look. But the memory of Jim and the Samurais will not be forgotten. How could it...
We love you Dad and will Miss you!! |
